Short cruises along the Piovego Canal on board "La Padovanella"

PROGRAMME:

• In June, July, August and September the cultural association "Amissi del Piovego" (“The Piovego’s Friends”), together with "Delta Tour Navigazione Turistica", arranges night excursions by boat in the city of Padova.
• Departures will be at 21.15 on Wednesdays and Fridays from the Contarini Lock, Via Matteotti turning off into Via Giotto.
• “La Padovanella” is a very typical Venetian Peota (that is to say a boat sailing on the water surface) and it is going to navigate the Piovego Canal between San Leonardo Bridge and San Massimo flood bed; an historiographer will be on board and will explain the city history while he illustates the ramparts, the city walls dating back to the Middle Ages and the Renassaince together with the most attracting places of the tour. We’re going to gett off in San Massimo flood bed in order to visit the rampart Portello Vecchio and to discover the secret underground galleries od Padova.
• The tour lasts about 2 hours. We suggest you to be dressed casual and to have comfortable shoes.
